Anne Zelada has continued her dance fitness classes in Grand Rapids, Michigan throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. At first, the classes were moved to online virtual classes until outdoor social distanced classes were allowed. Today, the classes are still practiced with social distancing but that doesn't take away from how fun and demanding they are.

Anne's passion is to help Grand Rapids community members reach their fitness goals through dance. She understands the difficulty that some people have reaching their fitness goals which is why her classes have modifications that make every class beginner friendly. The two types of classes she currently teaches are WERQ and Zumba.

WERQ:

• Music: Trendsetting Pop & Hip Hop
• Dance Types: Fresh dance steps and athletic moves
• Beginner friendly

Zumba:

• Music: Latin & Other (International, Hip Hop, etc.)
• Dance Types: Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Merengue and more...
• Beginner friendly

Who is Anne Zelada?

Anne is a certified WERQ and Zumba fitness trainer in the Grand Rapids, MI area with 8 years of experience. At just 4 years old, she began dancing which began her love for the sport. Finally in 2014, Anne decided that teaching was her next dance endeavor. Shortly before becoming certified in WERQ and Zumba she took a trip to India to further hone her skills. The 3 week trip catapulted her new found love for teaching which is still going strong today. Anne not only loves to teach dance fitness, but also loves working with beginners. She finds it important to give them whatever they need in order to succeed.

How to Join?

All you have to do is show up. There's no signup or approvals needed. Bring your shoes and join in. If you have any questions beforehand, contact Anne by email or through Facebook. Be sure to follow on Facebook for event updates.

Thursdays (7-8pm):

How much?

It's FREE! Yes, that's right, it's 100% completely FREE. Most gyms and trainers charge a reoccurring fee but Anne doesn't. It's been part of her mission to offer free classes to people in the community. So, don't miss out and join now.

Both classes contain a mixture of regulars and new faces. Some people will come in groups and others will show up by themselves. The age, fitness level and goal of each participant is different which makes for a judgement free zone. All members are there to do the same thing, get in shape while having fun doing it.
