Broadway Grand Rapids and DeVos Performance Hall hosted another amazing Broadway performance. This time it was the popular Canadian musical, Come From Away.

Again, I found my way to a Broadway Grand Rapids show. My cousin is a huge broadway fan, so we made our way to the DeVos Performance Hall to see what all the fuss was about. I didn't expect to like the show that much because I heard that is was more for the younger generation. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Where do I start? How about here: The Hamilton musical, put on by Broadway Grand Rapids, at the DeVos Performance Hall was amazing! I had never been to a musical and didn't know anything about this one, except for it's popularity and the song, "Wrote My Way Out" because of the Nas and Dave East features. 

The Grand Rapids Mayor's Youth Council and the Grand Rapids Public Libraries have a goal to collect 500 new coats (hats and gloves too) for teenagers in need during the winter. The Winter Coat Drive donation period is from February 3rd to March 4th. Collection bins will be located near the front desk at the following libraries.

Annually, Grand Rapids, Michigan welcomes the World of Winter festival to the city. The festival takes full advantage of Michigan's cold climate to provide interesting ways for people to experience and enjoy the Winter season. The festival aspires to make Grand Rapids a more active winter city - which makes Grand Rapids a more active year-round city. All programming and activities are FREE, socially-distanced for these pandemic times and geared for both families and adults. World of Winter is organized by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., the City of Grand Rapids and numerous community partners.

Anne Zelada has continued her dance fitness classes in Grand Rapids, Michigan throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. At first, the classes were moved to online virtual classes until outdoor social distanced classes were allowed. Today, the classes are still practiced with social distancing but that doesn't take away from how fun and demanding they are.

Anne's passion is to help Grand Rapids community members reach their fitness goals through dance. She understands the difficulty that some people have reaching their fitness goals which is why her classes have modifications that make every class beginner friendly. The two types of classes she currently teaches are WERQ and Zumba.
